I believe that the anger is because the Android version has always been free and ads supported - not really because Rovio Mobile had a choice there, Android paid apps are only deployed in 32 countries vs 90 countries for Apple App Store - while the iOS version is still a paid app.
However new levels were added and the ads are displayed only when the user press pause.
Rovio Mobile is definitely working hard to monetize the franchise (seasonal application, fluffy toys) but that doesn’t look like an unreasonable deal if that keeps bringing new content.
Raymond Soneira, president of DisplayMate Technologies, refuted the claim in a Wired article entitled iPhone 4’s ‘Retina’ Display Claims Are False Marketing. Meanwhile, Phil Plait of Discover magazine’s Bad Astronomy column responds by saying that Soneira is (mostly) incorrect, while Steve Jobs is (technically) right.
Also, we could argue that there are other brands of gyroscope that would be 1/1000th degree more accurate that the one shipping in the iPhone 4.
